Project Story · Branding
The growth of technology and social media has fundamentally changed the business landscape. Starting a culinary business today no longer requires an expensive shop on a main road or a costly commercial space. Armed with a good recipe from a home kitchen and a front porch, anyone can launch their own culinary brand.
KoPaPo stepped into this moment. Built around a signature menu of home-style grilled rice, KoPaPo proves that a home-scale business can still look professional, stay appealing, and hold a strong position in the eyes of its customers.

Grilled rice was chosen for being practical and already familiar to Indonesian tastes. It's easy to serve, carries a distinct aroma from the grilled banana leaf, and works well as a family meal. By keeping the price affordable, KoPaPo removed the usual transaction friction and turned its product into a reliable everyday meal solution for housewives.

KoPaPo made the smart move of building a warm, approachable persona through a mascot character. This mascot doesn't just decorate the packaging or sit on a social media logo. It became the main narrator telling KoPaPo's story to its audience:

Through a relatable product, the right price point, and a mascot-driven communication strategy, KoPaPo proves that a business started on a home porch can still grow into a beloved brand within its community.
